Air Fryer Turkey Breast

Air fryer turkey breast is seasoned with butter, herbs, and spices, then cooked skin-side up until the thickest part reaches 165°F. Resting it for 15 minutes helps keep the meat juicy while the skin turns golden.

Ingredients

  • 1 turkey breast half 2 1/2- to 3-pound, bone-in, skin-on, fully thawed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 tsp kosher salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp paprika

Equipment

  • 1 6-quart air fryer

Method

  1. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 350°F.
  2. Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
  3. Gently loosen the skin without tearing it.
  4. Mix the softened butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and paprika.
  5. Rub the mixture under the skin and over the outside of the breast.
  6. Place the turkey breast skin-side up in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook at 350°F for 50 to 65 minutes, checking after 45 minutes, until the thickest part of the breast reaches 165°F without the thermometer touching bone.
  8. Transfer the turkey to a cutting board.
  9. Rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Notes

For the most reliable doneness, check the thickest part without touching bone. Refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days; freezing is fine. Use dairy-free butter for a dairy-free swap.
